American Idol's Lakisha Jones Marries

American Idol alumna Lakisha Jones was married on Sunday to Larry Davis, a financial advisor. The wedding took place at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Family, friends, and other American Idol alumni (including Gina Glocksen, Haley Scarnato, Melinda Doolittle and Sanjaya Malakar) attended the wedding. Lakisha Jones had an old-Hollywood themed wedding, complete with white roses, black stands, and red rose petals. People Magazine observed Lakisha Jones wearing an Alfred Angelo gown, Stuart Weitzman shoes, and Neil Lane jewelry. Her five-year-old daughter Brionne was flower girl at the wedding.

Lakisha Jones finished fourth on American Idol 6. She inspired American Idol audiences as a talented single-mom trying to build a better life for her daughter. Lakisha Jones was known for her powerful vocals and R&B style. Among her best performances on American Idol was a song from the movie Dreamgirls, where she gave Jennifer Hudson a run for her money. Lakisha Jones will release an album in February 2009.

With Lakisha Jones as a musician and Larry Davis as a financial advisor, this match may be the best of both worlds. Lakisha Jones and Larry Davis will likely be able to afford an extravagant lifestyle and have well-rounded children.

Lakisha Jones Marries: Other American Idol Relationships

Lakisha Jones is not the only American Idol with a recent marriage or engagement. Dreamgirls' Jennifer Hudson recently became engaged to David 'Punk' Otunga, a Harvard Law graduate who appeared on I Love New York 2. Like Lakisha Jones, Jennifer Hudson also sported a Neil Lane engagement ring.

American Idol's Kristy Lee Cook became engaged to boyfriend Andy Dobner March 2008. Their wedding is tentatively set for June 2009. Fellow American Idol alumna Brooke White will be a bridesmaid at the wedding.

Clay Aiken is a bit of an anomaly. He broke many female hearts recently by revealing that he is gay. This will not change my opinion of him as I will continue to enjoy his music. Although he is not currently in a relationship, Clay Aiken recently fathered a baby with friend Jaymes Foster.
