Interview with Ayanna,
___________________________________________

1.Where did you hear about AC?

I believe I had just discovered an interest in blogging. In surfing the internet for a while, I ran across this site-which in my opinion, was much better than a typical "blog."

2. When did you join AC?

I joined AC in the beginning of 2006.

3. Why did you join AC?

I joined AC because I have had a great love for writing since childhood. I found that this was a great outlet to write, and be taken seriously.

4. What types of articles, poems, stories, ect, do you write about?

I tend to write about any number of things. But my interests lie in current events, pop culture, some humor, dating/relationship issues, and even the paranormal.

5. Who are some of your favorite AC producers?

I have become a great fan of Stephanie Modkins' work. She writes a lot about pop culture, but also covers some very important topics relating to politics, pet care, and much more! I also like Mechele Pellebon. Her articles are very informative, and really well-written.

6. What do you think AC needs more topics on?

I would love to see more articles on African American topics. But I would especially love to see more content regarding paranormal phenomenon. This subject will always fascinate me.

7. Do you enjoy writing for AC?

I love it!

8. Do you think you could make a full time or part time living on AC?

I think it is very possible to make a full or part-time living on the website. The key to doing so is in organization, good planning, and of course---lots of writing.

9. How long do you plan on writing for AC?

I will probably write for AC as long as the web site exists.

10. Where do you get your topics for writing?

The two biggest sources of material for my articles are conversations with my friends, and watching television. While I'm doing either of these activities, I will make quick memos to myself and store them in my cell phone. That way I won't forget my ideas. I draft them later---and then Voila! An article!

11. Have you ever written for AC's calls for content and if you have did you like it?
