WASHINGTON, DC (OCN) -- As of 9:00am this morning, all production and sales of cigarettes are being banned in the United States. Since the ban, prices per carton shot up US$1.00 per carton and stores are being crowded by patrons to gian what's left.Below is a message from the Chairman of the Tobacco Industry, Robert Fitzgerald.
The ban got a push when 7,000,000 regular and lite cartons of cigaretts that were sold between June 2007 through August 2008 were recalled. (See original story)
