Blue Ridge, Georgia Christmas Theatre Productions for Kids - Christmas productions are an important part of Christmas for many families. I remember growing up and going to see all of the different plays, movies, and other things that would always come around come Christmas time. In Blue Ridge, Georgia it is much easier to find plays than anything else because of the importance that the town places upon drama. The high school almost always has a Christmas play put together by the drama team as well as the popular Theatre located in the plaza next to Blue Jeans Restaurant. There is also Young Harris College that is just a drive away that offers classical as well as new plays for the Holiday season.Fannin County High School usually has a Christmas play each year at the new theatre located on campus. Past plays have included Frosty the Snowman, Jack Frost, A Christmas Compilation (that had all of the different Christmas stories piled into one), Santa's Workshop, and many more. The drama team usually put on the play and kids of all ages participate. It is really neat to be able to see a play that you know most of the people who are participating in it. This makes it special for kids especially if they have a cousin or older brother or sister who is in the play.
There is a little theatre located next to Blue Jeans Restaurant that has plays all year of various sorts. Around Christmas time they usually break out the Christmas scripts along with some creativity. My favorite production that they have had so far was the one where some people got stuck at a bus station/diner in a snow storm and had to spend Christmas together. It was a grate comedy and our whole family loved it so much that we went and saw it a second time before the end of its run. The theatre's crews are great actors and actresses and truly know how to put on a good show. They know how to involve the audience and make a great production into a great memory.
