My daughter called yesterday and was so excited because Chris Sligh, "American Idol" finalist from season 6, performed at her church, Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque.

His testimony drove home Psalm 32:8: "I will instruct you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye upon you."

If you remember, Chris did not win "American Idol", but has gone on to bigger and better things because he allowed the Lord to lead him. Yes, he was confused, at first, but because he had a heart to be led by the Lord, he is doing what God created him to do. Here is his testimony.

Now that's exciting! We can all learn from Chris' experience: wait on the Lord and He will direct our paths.

Thanks y'all for your comments. I'm not a consistent "Idol" watcher because I can't stand the ridicule during the first part of the season. But as it gets closer to the end, I do watch. Chris was born to sing for the Lord! I'm so glad he listened to God and let God lead him. Yes, Tricia, it makes me think of the same scripture!

I do like this guy! My favorite thing about him is how he walked in not looking like a movie star and knocked the judges off their feet. Even then, I knew he'd be something special.

This is a great testimony! Thanks for making us aware of his "coming out" for the Lord.

Very cool. Also makes me think of Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight
