Christmas Productions for Kids in Orlando, Florida

Looking for some local Christmas theater to take the kids to this year? Here are five options in the Orlando area. Always call to confirm show times and availability before attending any event.

Orlando Repertory Theater is putting on a Christmas production of A Christmas Story this year - based on the movie of the same name. The play runs from November 21 to December 21, on Friday nights at 7:00 PM, Saturdays at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM, and Sundays at 2:00 PM. There'll be a family night on Friday, December 5th at 5:30 PM. So bring your kids on down, especially if they are a fan of the film. Tickets are $17 for adults and $11 for children.

Every year throughout the Christmas season a nightly Candlelight Processional is held at Epcot. The Candlelight Processional is part Nativity story, part Christmas concert. The nativity story is read by celebrity narrators each night, several times in the evening. Interwoven with the story are carols, sung by a massive choir. This is one telling of the Christmas story sure to mesmerize kids of all ages. This is a free event with park admission, but seats fill quickly on some nights.

The Orlando Ballet is presenting the Nutcracker at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Center with Dates in December ranging from the 12 to the 21 this timeless classic by Tchaikovsky, creates a Christmas Fantasy World On stage that will be cherished by children of all ages, share the joy of the nutcracker time and again as a family tradition, Tickets are available thought the Bob Carr Ticket office or Ticketmaster.

"Tonight you will be visited by three ghosts" - well four if you count Jacob Marley. The Orlando Downtown Theater Presents A Christmas Carol November 28 though December 21. In today's troubled times there is no better way to teach the true meaning of Christmas than with the celebration of one miserly man's journey of self discovery. Tickets Range from 15 to 18 dollars.

Orlando is our favorite place! We stay in Florida every couple years. Last year we rented a house for a month there! We stayed at Diney on New Years Eve! What a blast. Great tips!

I've never seen A Christmas Story! People look at me like an alien when I say that. I prefer Rudolph and Charlie Brown.
