"The View" from Afar: The Hilarious Celebrity Feud of Rosie O'Donnell and Donald Trump

A statement released by the Producers of The View, Bill Geddie and Barbara Walters says: "Both Rosie and Donald are high spirited, opinionated people. Donald has been a friend of The View for many years and Rosie, of course, is our enormously popular moderator. We cherish them both and hope the New Year brings calm and peace." What a weasel-worded crock! I guess ratings of The View are down and Donald Trump needs a little pub before the next season of the Apprentice. I know the two shows are not on the same network, The View being an ABC talk show aimed at women and The Apprentice a night time show on NBC, but this whole thing seems almost like a WWF made for TV feud. Maybe not, the barbs have gotten more and more personal in the last couple of days, but the thought did enter my mind. Donald Trump makes comments about Rosie O'Donnell's personal life, Rosie O'Donnell replies that her partner Kelli, who I'm assuming isn't Chinese, but that's another article, is in the studio just in case a certain guy with a comb-over tries to take her away from Rosie. The Donald shoots back that Rosie is just frustrated that she didn't get to crown Tara Conner Miss USA. Maybe my chronology isn't right, but you get the gist, right? And the tepid statement from the Producers? Donald Trump and Rosie O'Donnell are opinionated? You could have knocked me over with a feather! Of course Donald Trump and Rosie O'Donnell are opinionated! That's how the whole feud started, and I can't help but think that regardless of whatever relationship Barbara Walters may have with Trump or O'Donnell, that she is smiling as she watches the ratings go up for The View.

According to Donald Trump, Barbara Walters can't stand Rosie O'Donnell, by the way. If true that could make for some interesting "viewing" the next few months.I wonder what Star Jones thinks about all this? Meanwhile, Trump has threatened a lawsuit over O'Donnell's statement that he, Donald Trump had filed for bankruptcy in the past. The Donald should think about suing whoever does his hair.

I believe in second chances, unless we're talking about Rosie O'Donnell!
