Paris Bennett from American Idol Season 5 Gives Birth to Baby Girl

According to reports from MTV and Reality TV World, former American Idol contestant Paris Bennett has given birth to her first child. Baby Egypt was born a healthy, happy little girl on Monday October 6, 2008. The father's name is unannounced, but it is said that they are engaged to be married.

Princess P's mommy reaction? "I'm so excited to finally see my little angel and man does she have lungs on her I guess she's gearing up to be the next American Idol." Could she do it? Well, anything is possible, as the mother of the baby evidenced with winning her number 5 spot in Season 5 of American Idol.

Speaking of 5's, MTV makes mention that there seems to be a fun coincidence for Paris Bennett involving 5's. Is it just fun or is 5 a lucky number for Paris? Well, let's take a look at those numbers. Baby Egypt was born to Paris, weighing in at 5 pounds and 15 ounces. There's two 5's already.

Paris Bennett, as mentioned above was in Season 5 of American Idol. She also happened to win fifth place, which adds another 5. So far that's 4 of the 5's. But, that isn't all. The name Egypt has got 5 letters and Paris was in labor for 5 hours. That's a lot of 5's. Coincidence or luck? You be the judge.

As if having her first baby girl wasn't enough excitement, Paris Bennett has a new album coming soon. It is set to be released on Oct 14, 2008 and is entitled A Royal Christmas. Obviously, this would be a Christmas album. This is a second album for Paris, but her official second album (non-holiday) will be released in January of 2009. That one is said to have more of a jazz feel than the others, which are mostly R&B.

Her first album, Princess P, was titled after the nickname given to Paris by her family. That was released May 8, 2007, so it's been just over a year since she's released anything. Paris Bennett seems to have a nice steady flow of music coming forth, which could be good for an up and coming star. As for little baby girl Egypt, we'll just have to wait and see.
