Sandy beaches, rustic mountain retreats, ski lifting or a wonderful seaweed wrap in your own hometown. If you ask 10 people what they consider a vacation, I dare to say that you'd receive 10 very different answers. There are many interpretations of what a vacation is and what people deem as relaxation. Some people consider watching a good game on Sunday evening a restful retreat, while others don't' feel rested unless they are lying on a sandy beach, watching the waves come ashore.

Those that know me, know that I love children and I love family time. There is nothing better than spending quality time with your children and loved ones. I don't care if you're just sitting around the fireplace and talking about your dreams or the events of the day or if your at an amusement park, time with your family, is time well spent. I have been on many vacations in my lifetime and I can think of a few that we really great, but one that stands out in my mind is the vacation that I spent in the Mountains of West Virginia with my best friend Doreen, my son CJ and my nephew Danny. We spent a weekend on a mountain resort about 10 years ago in a very rustic but comfortable room with a balcony that offered panoramic views of the mountains. I would find myself waking up early in the morning and taking my bible out on the balcony and beginning my day with fellowshipping with my Heavenly Father. The air was so crisp and clean that I would take long extended breaths so I could really inhale the freshness and all that oxygen would fill my entire body and I would feel revived and rejuvenated and ready to start my day.

Once everyone was up we began our day with a hearty breakfast and from there it was fun at the inside pool doing water sports and by evening time, we would go on little mini adventure hikes to check out our surroundings. Although the hikes and sports were fun, the best times we had at that mountain retreat were with each other. The pillow fights and the movies and just the fellowship alone we had were priceless memories that I will always treasure.
