It was time again for our annual trip to Las Vegas and I couldn't be happier. There was nothing I loved more than planning and taking a vacation. We wanted to try something a little different this time and after much debate, finally agreed on Treasure Island. We were able to get an awesome deal through them (2 people, 3 nights. and roundtrip airfare..$569 after taxes), that also played a huge part in our decision.

We arrived at Treasure Island about 12:00pm on Monday, December 11th. And we were ready to check in. I had been forewarned about lengthy check-in lines by previous patrons of the hotel. I must say, they were completely on target. Although the line did not appear to be extremely long, it was still moving incredibly slow. When we finally reached the counter, we discovered why. There were a ton of questions needing to be answered..90% of which were answered when the reservation was made, two months ago. This place was in dire need of a better check-in system. Another thing, there were no coupons or discounts offered to guests. I was more than a little disappointed with this. Every other hotel I have stayed at in Vegas had given us a coupon book upon check-in. Oh well. After we got our room keys we were ready to go check out the room.

The room was located on the 10th floor and was just your standard room, we did not go with a suite upgrade. However, we were still pleasantly surprised with the room. Treasure Island had recently upgraded all of the beds through out the entire hotel. And let me tell you, they are comfy. As soon as arriving in the room I laid down on the bed to check it out, took a lot of pleading from my husband for me to finally get back up. When booking, we generally opt for the 2 queen beds as opposed to the 1 king-sized so that we could have the extra pillows and blankets. Here, we didn't need to do that. It really was not necessary. They were that good. The room also came equipped with a plasma TV, ionic ceramic blow dryer, a ton of goodies from the on-site spa, WET and my personal favorite, a pull-out magnification mirror in the bathroom. I thought that was a nice touch. One that most women will definitely appreciate.
