Sarah Palin is Racist

I have stopped counting how many times Sarah Palin uses the word tolerance. Does she think it will make her cool? Does she think it will make her less racist? Does she think she understands the word? I have news for you - it doesn't make her cool; she is racist, and she hasn't a clue.

Many years ago I was in graduate school taking a course in Racism. I remember the Professor telling us about a person of color in a store. A father and son were in this store as well. The little boy commented on the color of this man's skin having never seen anything but white faces. The dad quieted him. The person of color heard this and said not to ignore his color. His color is part of what made him who he is and should not be ignored. That's when I learned that being in tune with another's color, religion, etc. rather than being blind to it is how I wanted to live. I stopped saying what I thought I should say "I am color blind."

I have strong feelings about other words not just the word tolerance or tolerate. I dislike the term broken home, the term stepchild if it refers to anything other than the non-biological or adopted child of one's spouse and the word dysfunctional.
