Skyler Deleon is Facing the Death Penalty for Murders He Allegedly Carried Out 4 Years Ago, but He is Not a Power Ranger

CNN has been running a story all day, and even printed an online article, where they claim "Power Ranger faces death penalty in yacht killings." They further state that Skyler Deleon
"starred in "The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" in the 1990s." This is all in correlation to the trial that Skyler Deleon will soon be facing, where is going to be tried for the murders of Tom and Jackie Hawks.

The only think factually correct about linking Deleon to the show Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, is that he performed in a bit part in a single 1994 episode, and was never actually one of the main characters. He wasn't a "Power Ranger" by any step of the imagination, and it is really unclear why CNN has decided to make that link. Maybe its to gain more viewers, or to get more people to read the articles written about the case, but in regards to Skylar Deleon being a star of the show, it is just not the case.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty against Deleon, because of the violent nature of the crime he is alleged to have committed. The facts of the case are that Deleon pretended he was interested in buying a 55-foot yacht owned by Jackie and Tom Hawks, and this allegedly afforded him the opportunity to steal the boat and re-sell it for financial gain. The prosecution now seeks to prove that the couple, with the assistance of three other men, stole the yacht and tied an anchor to Jackie and Tom Hawks before throwing them overboard. The prosecution also feels that they have a very strong case, and that this former bit-part actor will soon be facing the death penalty. His wife, Jennifer, was already convicted in 2006 with two counts of first-degree murder and will be spending two life terms in prison without the possibility of parole.

Here is The CNN Story where the claim that Deleon was a star of the Power Rangers.

it's a dark day to be a power ranger. "oh the shame" lol "wonders if he'll be dress up as a power ranger for his sentencing".
CNN also reported George Bush(1) DIED when her fell ill in Japan several years ago. Remember when he passed out at a state dinner with their PM and others? Nice to see they're as sharp as ever!
:)
Is this his original name? I swear he looks like a guy i went to school with but with a different name. Does anyone know?

Interesting how even major media sources get their info wrong or skew it.
