It makes sense that yoga teachers living in forward-thinking and world-conscious Western Massachusetts would offer yoga classes for kids.

Yoga classes for kids are usually broken down by age group, not by ability or by prior experience. If you do not find a class for your child's age group, and your child is within one year in either direction of the intended age group for the class, contact the studio and find out if you can still register your child.

Exposing children of all ages is a great way to get them more exercise, meet new friends, and help them encourage a positive awareness of their bodies and movement.

How fun does Play Yoga sound? Play Yoga is for any parent who would like to take yoga with their child ages 1 month-4 years. You must pre-register for either a single class ($12) or the six-seek session ($60). Kids 5-9 can also take their own yoga class and learn body awareness and self-control through yoga postures, breath work, andeven expressive art. Must pre-register.

YogaKids accommodates yoga students in the following groups: 3-5, 7-9 and 10-13. Classes for each age group are held at different times. The cost is $65 for a six-week session, and parents must pre-register their child for the class.
