A short poem I wrote for my girlfriend, k, after she used the phrase "the romantic". :) It uses a meter of ABCb.enter the romantic
I feel warmth in my heart
two lovers alone in the world
nothing to keep us apart
I see the sparkle in her eyes
so beautiful and deep
the emotion and desire
makes my pulse leap
in her eyes, I see the same
she is all that matters to me
nothing can come between us
I have to make her see
that she is special
unlike any other
I kiss her sweet lips
she returns the kiss with another
I rub her face and hair
with a gentle caress
in soft whispers
our love for each other we profess
the mood is set
the night is young
we have all night
and many songs yet unsung
