A short poem I wrote for my girlfriend, k, after she used the phrase "the romantic". :) It uses a meter of ABCb.

enter the romantic
I feel warmth in my heart
two lovers alone in the world
nothing to keep us apart
I see the sparkle in her eyes
so beautiful and deep
the emotion and desire
makes my pulse leap
in her eyes, I see the same
she is all that matters to me
nothing can come between us
I have to make her see
that she is special
unlike any other
I kiss her sweet lips
she returns the kiss with another
I rub her face and hair
with a gentle caress
in soft whispers
our love for each other we profess
the mood is set
the night is young
we have all night
and many songs yet unsung

Enter the Romantic

Very sweet, and she's a lucky girl.
