Eric tells me: "A favorite quote of mine comes from none other than Kevin Smith, of Clerks and Mallrats fame. His character, Silent Bob, is hanging out in a convenience store, and one of the other characters is pondering whether or not to leave his girlfriend. Silent Bob's only line in the movie is 'You know, there's a million fine-looking women in the world, dude. But they don't all bring you lasagna at work; most of 'em just cheat on you.' Another favorite of mine comes from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland; the Cheshire Cat says, 'Well, then, you see, a dog growls when it's angry, and wags its tail when it's pleased. Now I growl when I'm pleased, and wag my tail when I'm angry. Therefore I'm mad.' Why, you ask? I have people tell me I'm crazy and/or insane all the time. I've come to take it as a compliment, and sometimes I even introduce myself by quoting the Cheshire Cat." That's a heck of a way to meet someone. And that's Eric Pudalov:
DP: Please tell us a little about yourself; who you are, where you're from, etc.,:
My name is Eric Pudalov, which is the same name I use on AC. I was born in New York, in a little place called Long Island; my parents still live there.
My dad is a veterinarian, and owns an animal hospital in New York. My mom works from home, doing bookkeeping and online customer service for a nonprofit organization.
I moved to Atlanta about two years ago, for several reasons:
1. I was having difficulty finding a decent job in New York.
2. I had some connections in Atlanta to not only find employment, but to receive the kind of help I needed in getting started.
3. I have family here, just in case I hit rock bottom.
I currently work at a small used bookstore/record store called Book Nook, which is within walking distance from my apartment.
On the side, I write for AC and a few other websites; writing is one of my passions, and I'll do it whether I'm getting paid for it or not.
DP: What type of personality type would you say you are?
