GRC Through Automated Identity Control

The role of identity related controls in initiating IT GRC control cannot be overlooked. An automated audit and compliance process makes access control easy and cost effective. Enforcement of access policies, access monitoring, auditing and compliance reporting becomes much simpler with automation. In the present scenario, automation of identity related processes is gaining in popularity than the manual processes and procedures which are more laborious, time consuming and costly.

From an IT GRC point of view, while automation is proving to be easier, a strong reporting component should be in place. It is important that access control, including who has access to what, centralized record of all access activities from all the departments of the organization should be reported aptly.
