Christmas Comes around once every year but each year is as special as any other moment of the year. It is the one holiday that people look forward to as a moment of each and every "firsts". It is the first Christmas that a couple remembers, a baby's first Christmas, the first without a passed loved one and so on. These are good memories that should be cherished and every moment should be kept for future reminiscence. One way to mark a celebration each year is to make a keepsake memory box full of each year's cards. Apparently this idea has been around for years however I was never aware of it until I started to make them a few years ago after I received wedding memory keepsake boxes from a relative. My mother-in-law has taken up the tradition of saving all Christmas cards. For years she had saved all the Christmas cards and tediously placed them in photo albums. This method took so long and the backs of the cards would get ruined by attaching each one with glue. From that time onwards, I have made a new Christmas Card Memory Box to celebrate the season so that she can keep her favorite Christmas cards without having to ruin the backs.

Supplies needed to complete this project:

1. 4-5 boxes

2. Wrapping paper

3. Spray adhesive (stick glue if you prefer not to use a spray)

4. Ribbon

5. 1 Decorative Gift Tag & other holiday trinkets if desired

Steps to make your own Christmas Card Memory Box:

1. Following the idea of the wedding boxes, I collect four to five different sized boxes, each one that will fit into the other one. Generally I take a trip to the local dollar store and purchase these boxes in a set for less than ten dollars total. It does not matter what the boxes look like just as long as they are strong boxes that will last for years to come. You can even use old boxes that you find around the house, no one will ever know the difference.

2. Clean out the boxes to assure there is no dust or other partials lying inside the boxes.

3. Pick out your favorite wrapping paper of the season. Try to pick a wrapping paper that matches your decorations that you use every year and does not have colors or designs that you will get tired of in a few years.
