The NFL season has been pretty exciting so far, with a number of surprises heading in the 6th week of play. Teams like Cincinnati (0-5) and Seattle (1-3) have really underperformed, but fans of Carolina (4-1) and Washington (4-1) have to be quite happy about how their teams are doing. Week 6 looks to have a number of interesting games lined up, the most promising of which is probably the NBC Sunday Night game of San Diego hosting New England.I don't believe in playing it safe when making predictions, and this will be the first of many weeks were we break down the weekly NFL games.
Here are the games and predictions for Week 6 action:
*Baltimore (2-2) at Indianapolis (2-2)
Though Baltimore has been looking pretty good through their first four games, there is no chance that Peyton Manning is going to let his Colts fall to 0-3 at home.
Prediction: Indianapolis by 14
*Detroit (0-4) at Minnesota (2-3)
Detroit made some changes in-house, but its not going to be enough to stop Adrian Peterson, who I expect to have a break-out game of near 180 yards.
Prediction: Minnesota by 32
*Oakland (1-3) at New Orleans (2-3)
After the Monday night faltering of the New Orleans offense, and a wasted effort by Reggie Bush, I expect the Saints to really come out with something to prove.
Prediction: New Orleans by 17
*Cincinnati (0-5) at New York Jets (2-2)
This certainly isn't going to be the week where the Bengals get their first win, and I am sure that Brett Favre is licking his chops looking at the Bengals secondary.
Prediction: New York by 22
*Chicago (3-2) at Atlanta (3-2)
Atlanta has been looking pretty strong through the first 5 games, and running back Michael Turner is tearing apart weak line-backers. I think however, that Chicago holds a rude surprise waiting for them, and that a hard-fought game will see the Bears coming out on top.
Prediction: Chicago by 3
*Carolina (4-1) at Tampa Bay (3-2)
