It was a dark and stormy night. Imagine you are in a dark and stormy night. That's how the main character of this story feels. Just as you imagine you do.

The Merriam Webster Dictionary definition of "writing" is "the act of a person or thing that writes". The Merriam Webster Dictionary definition of "faux pas" is a "slip or blunder in etiquette, manners, or conduct". A conjunction of the two (writing faux pas) is not in the Merriam Webster Dictionary. It does not exist.

That was called a TANGENT. Back to the dark and stormy night. The main character's name is Mike. He has brown hair. He has blue eyes. He is 17. He is sad. He is alone. Sometimes, when he is outside on a dark and stormy night he screams into the dark and stormy night at the fact that he is merely a figment of my imagination. Oh, did you not realize? Am I ruining the illusion? Each and every word is coming from my mind, my thoughts, this isn't real, this isn't even close to real but this is a run on a grammatical error. Run on has a hyphen I think.

"Nothing in these quotation marks was ever said," I said.

Hello, my name is Shayla and I'm going to tell you about one time when I was young when my father called me "selfish". And then he called me a "slob". And then I felt sad because I didn't know how to control these tendencies I had. I'm going to tell you this, because I can't show you. I can't show you because sometimes when I show these things about myself I feel as though I'm in a dark and stormy night, a figment of imagination and then I become a "faux pas". Or do I become a writer? Should writer be in parentheses? Is there no consistency here? What's a writer? Don't answer that please. You're not supposed to. It's called rhetorical, thank you.

Boom! Crash!

The dark and stormy night is getting stormier and darker. It is dark and the boy is sad. The sad boy is in the dark night and boy is it dark-he is looking at you now. Make me real he pleads. Help me not be sad and in the dark. Help me. Oh boy.

It was a dark and stormy night. I'm not a writer.

A whale comes up and swallows the boy. Is Pinocchio inside?

Of course he is.

That's called a natural progression of thought.

Right?
