The Hampton Inn Rohnert Park, CA

The Hampton Inn in Rohnert Park, CA is a comfortable, fun, and engaging hotel offering the guests more than a few special touches, but doesn't get it all right.

The Hampton Inn in Rohnert Park is very new, opening in October 2007. Everything in the hotel is clean, well appointed and well thought out. There are pictures of the surrounding areas as you walk into the hotel. The doormat offers a special message. When I arrived the employees were quick to check me in, attentive and offered interesting chit-chat while registering my stay.

The lobby, where breakfast is served in the morning had apples and oranges out for hungry guests to snack on. There were couches, a large television and comfy chairs for guests to use as they see fit.

As I went into the elevator I was greeted by the first of several adorable photographs on the inside doors of the elevator. When I left the elevator and walked down the hall to my room, I noticed that each room had their own photograph decorating their room number.

The room had a comfortable bed, sheets and pillows but that is the least interesting part of the room. Almost all the amenities have a little discussion with the guest. The coffee is not regular and decaf, it is leaded and unleaded. The hot and cold cups offered in the room say "Some like it hot" and "Some like it cold". The note pad is called "the thought pad." The alarm clock radio has been preset with local radio stations and labeled by the type of music, "Rock", "Country" and the like. The soap, shampoo, lotion and other amenities offer the same conversation to guest as well. Even the wakeup call made me feel comfortable and welcome.
