Night stifles light out of the day,
Flocks sing their way back to nest.
A little dream takes shape
In someone's excited heart.

A dream to reach out and hold
Twinkles afar, that guise the sky.
A dream to grasp the wind
Flirting through the fading twilight.

A dream to stand still and watch
As time passes by, mocking.
A dream to smile and know
That this life is meant to be.
