One the most exciting things about Christmas time (outside of the all the gift-giving) is the process of decorating for the event. Children in particular love the Christmas holidays, as this time offers lots of lights and fanfare. But there are lots of different ways that one can visually celebrate this special holiday. Adults may find that they are just as excited about decorating this year. You might even be surprised at how many different Christmas themes there really are. Take a look a few examples...Children's Christmas
This is perhaps the easiest (and maybe most fun) theme of all time. With images of Santa, reindeer, and sweet goodies---it will be easy to pull off this particular idea. Starting with the tree, make sure that you employ the use of many colorful bulbs. Lights in shades of red, blue, and green are superb when nestled against a host of intricate tree ornaments. Letting children make their own ornaments is also a great idea as well. Not only will the process keep them busy during the holidays, the ornaments will serve as great keepsakes---nostalgic pieces you can store away in a sort of Christmas "time capsule."
As for the outdoors, children will absolutely love it if you create a "Wonderland" of sorts, with animated lighting displays. If you're ready to go all out, you might want something like the animated "Gingerbread On Trampoline"---which costs around $700 on HolidaysWithLights.com. But for this price, you'll get a 9-foot tall display of gingerbread who jump up and down on a lit trampoline. Other lighted displays on this site range in price from $100 all the way up to $1000. But the effects are breathtaking. But if you're not trying to break the bank, set up a few well-placed inflatable decorations. Santas, reindeer, elves, and much more can be purchased online for much less money.
