Shopping in Chicago during your spring break is superb. During spring break you'll be able to take advantage of the many spring sales held
in the popular shopping spots. Some stores that are along Michigan Avenue include Louis Vuitton, Tiffany's, Borders, and many more. There is also a large shopping mall on Michigan Avenue called Water Tower Place. Water Tower Place features many specialty stores. Water Power Place also features a full food court for dining options.
Some great restaurants to visit in Chicago on your spring break include Gino's East, The Original Pancake House, Blue Fin, and Rainforest Cafe. Gino's East is the best Chicago style-pizza that money can buy. Other than pizza Gino's East also has great appetizers like calamari and toasted raviolis. The best pizza you can buy from Gino's East is the original sausage, but they have almost any variety you can think of! The Original Pancake House is a local chain that is open for breakfast. There is a bit of a long line for breakfast- but it's worth it. It's not as expensive as many other Chicago eateries, and they serve giant portions. I recommend the giant omelettes and pancakes. Blue Fin is a great Japanese Sushi bar that features sushi rolls and other Japanese food. They offer great appetizers like asparagus beef roll, blue crab claws, and the "heart attack" rolls which are deep fried jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese and spicy salmon. Rainforest Cafe is a well known restaurant in Chicago. It's very kid friendly, and the whole place is set up like a rainforest! Some of their great menu items include Pita Quesadillas, Island Bruschetta, Rumble in the Jungle Turkey Wrap, Rainforest Natural Burger and the legendary sparkling Volcano Dessert. On the kid's menu Rainforest Cafe has Mini Hot Dogs, Python Pasta, Popcorn Shrimp, and Mini Burgers among other options.
Chicago also has great nightclubs for those hip-at-heart. The list begins with one of the hippest nightclubs in the country, Reserve. Reserve is an Asian designed nightclub that features Europe-inspired music. You can book your tickets to Reserve in advance to skip the lines. Wet is another great club in Chicago that features an underwater theme. The club is always busy, but the drinks and cover charge add up so prepare to spend a lot of money here! If there happens to be a concert you'd like to see while you are on spring break in Chicago, you are in luck. Chicago features some of the best concert venues around, including the House of Blues and the Allstate Arena.
