I didn't have an extra in my desk this week when the confounded little plastic tab on the telephone/pc connector chose to exercise it's predisposition to breakage. But, that predisposition is not the biggest problem in the product review. Most may not know yet what I am attempting to describe even with the picture as reference. As in any research project, identification is the critical factor in locating correct information. I could not, for the life of me, discover a common brand name to identify the product.

Immediately, research questions began to swirl about in my thoughts. How can one review something which has not proved itself worthy of a name in the marketplace? How am I going to describe a product which has only a number to define it? Why don't more people complain about this problem? And, why would companies support, sell, and recommend a design destined to have to be replaced every 60 days or so?

I found qualifiers such as, "line to connect telephone line to telephone line, connectors, and conductors, and number identifiers like sb0688.
