Hinduism has long been conceived as a tolerant religion, since it is more a way of life than a religion practiced based on scripture or book. It allowed various schools of thought to evolve and also allowed a person to worship any God (there are indeed numerous Names by which the God(s) are worshiped!) or gave him or her right not to worship any God.

Because of such a passive stance, India also gave others to seek greener pasture for centuries. Was this a collective failure by rulers of various states within India or an open invitation by them for others, I don't think I have a clue right now. Since history cannot be erased or wished away, we will just let it pass. The country was first invaded and allowed her to be ruled by the Mohammedans and later on by the English, French and the Portuguese.

During each such foreign ruler, the local population (not the entire lot, but sizeable one) was converted to the rulers' religion - be it Islam or Christianity - either by force or by willful actions to please the bosses. As I said earlier, let us forget the past and come to the present.

Post-independence, there was a society called "minority", but today it is trying to dominate the country by its hideous activities (albeit by a few handfuls) and the country's politicians forgive them or turn a blind eye for the sake of votes. They have already outpaced the percentage growth as compared to the Hindus.

Now another section, with large finances pouring in, wants to convert whatever group of population by luring them with few thousands of rupees. Needless to say, I am drawing the attention and ire of evangelical Christians and their supporters. Obviously, they are looking at the numbers forgetting conveniently even those who were converted ages ago still follow some of the practices being adopted by the Hindus in their various social ceremonies (such as weddings, etc.)

Francios Gautier is a French, married to an Indian and an Indian resident. He is a prominent personality amongst the members of Aurobindo Ashram. He is a regular columnist in india-abroad.com. And how about the Christian mythology. How was Jesus born?! How many wives did each Prophet(!!) of Abrahmic Religions had?! It is funny to see these stupid herds talking about lust to Hindus, whose God Rama Himself eulogized monogamy. But Tit for Tat. Instead of attacking Christian community, somebody should write book about Christian mythology (or Joseph Heller's God Knows should be made famous, perhaps by banning it!!). I would like each religion to ridicule and mock the others, so that all people will get to see what these religions really have in their mythology.
