The Number One Thing Your Man Desires from You

Are you having trouble trying to figure out what your man wants from you?

I can tell you in one word what they desire most from you...

RESPECT.

It's true. You may think he wants companionship, sex, a housekeeper, etc.

But in reality, what he craves most from the woman he loves is your respect.

He goes to work every day, takes out the garbage, fixes the broken light fixture, mows the lawn in summer, and shovels the sidewalk in winter...for you.

If it were up to him, he'd just as soon sit in front of the television or computer or go to the park for a quick pickup game with his buddies.

Even if he's argumentative and surely, what lies deep in his heart is a desire for your respect.

I say, let him know he's really important to you - give him that respect!

Tell him you're grateful for all he does for you and for your home.

Show him you appreciate and respect him by your actions.

Make his favorite meal, cover him with a blanket when he falls asleep in his favorite chair, or kiss his cheek when you reach down to grab a magazine off the coffee table.

Greet him at the door with a hug and kiss.

I know what you're thinking right now...why do I have to be the one to show respect? I'd like respect too, what about him showing me respect?

I agree he should show you respect, as well. But I'm writing to you right now, not him.

You can begin by showing kindness and caring to him. Eventually, after receiving your concern and respect over a period of time, he'll return the favor.

Start with baby steps - you can only change things one step at a time.

Even if you don't feel respectful of him at this moment in time, go through the actions. Maybe he did something that you took offense at and are angry with him right now.

Show him respect even if you don't feel it in your heart, and slowly, bit by bit, you'll begin to feel for him the respect and love he craves.

When he thinks you respect and love him, he'll try even harder to give you what you want.

It's a two way street. The caring and love cannot travel in only one direction for very long. Either it withers up and dies, or it blossoms for both of you.
