Darkness Will Descend on Our Union - the Death of the United States as We Know It!

In a recent article I addressed some statistical examples of inflation in certain areas of the economy and contrasted free market inflationary forces with government intervention and its effect on inflation. I cited how oil has increased 108% since 1985, insurance premiums rose 251% in that same period, yet government guaranteed student loans have allowed the cost of a college education to rise 439% in that same period. I also offered the examples of government waste that would spend $300.00 for a toilet seat and $400.00 for a hammer. Is anyone listening?

I then had a commentator pipe in and imply that I was selling a Conservative = good; Liberal = bad point of view. That was not at all what I was doing, although since I am going to be accused of this, I might as well be guilty. Here goes - no more trying to be a nice guy or PC about it since no matter how I say something I am attacked anyway.

Let me be clear here - up to this point in time my dislike for all this was targeted at radical liberalism and NOT at mainstream Democrats. I know I may have at times not drawn a sufficient distinction, and for that I was wrong in my presentations. I truly HAD tremendous respect for the Democrat viewpoint - it is every bit as valid as is mine. But if mainstream Democrats assist in this coming destruction and re-building of my nation to suit the vision of radical Lefties, I must now include regular old Democrats as part of the problem. So, if you are a lifelong Dem and you are going along with all this crap, I am talking to you too.

First I must congratulate my political opposition. They have succeeded beyond my wildest imagination. I could not have rationally foreseen any scenario whereby my nation would knowingly throw out our history of free markets and as little government as possible for the coming darkness these people are pushing.

I admire my opposition's dedication to cause that would be so ingrained that they would actually cheat to win, but there you have it. I could not have imagined a nation that would look at Barack Obama and see what they see, or ignore what they are ignoring.
