Hugh Hefner Confirms He and Longtime Girlfriend Holly Madison Have Called it Quits

It looks like this may be the end of the road for Hugh Hefner and longtime girlfriend Holly Madison. Hefner is of course the Playboy magnate, who has been living with several girlfriends for the past few years, primarily spending time with Holly Madison, whom he has been with since 2001. On Monday night, Madison was seen out clubbing with a guy friend, and when approached by the media outlet TMZ, said that her relationship was over with Hefner. At least in his public persona, this seems to have come as sort of a surprise to Hefner, who is acting like they were still together until Madison made this announcement. Hefner was quote by CNN as saying, "If Holly says it's over, I guess it's over, she's still here in the house. Until a few days ago, we were still sharing the same bed."

News was leaked recently, that Hefner had gone to have tests done to see if he could still father children, and that the results came back that he could not. It was pretty public knowledge that Madison wanted to marry Hefner and have children, but it turns out that this just wasn't in the cards. That must have put their relationship on rocky ground right away, and it looks like Madison decided that it was now time to strike out on her own. Despite the fact that Hefner made her what she is today, she is probably supporting herself with royalties she makes off of her E! television show "The Girls Next Door." On that show, Hefner and his three girlfriends show what goes on with their everyday lives, and what it is like living inside of the Playboy mansion. The show has garnered quite a few viewers, and according to Madison and Hefner, will still be showing episodes in the months to come.
