When combining all the vintages by score and price, the 2002 vintage has one "Outstanding Value" and 49 "Great Value" wines, the 2003 has 28 "Great Values", the 2001 has eight "Great Values" and the 2004 vintage has three "Great Value" wines. When comparing wines scoring 90 points or more, 61% of the 2004 vintage wines average 90 points or above while the 2002 vintage has 55%, the 2003 vintage 48% and the 2001 vintage has 45%. In terms of the average price for a 90 scoring wine, the 2002 vintage averages $76, the 2001 averages 87, the 2004 averages $89 and the 2003 vintage averages $104.
At the high end the 2002 Vincent Girardin, Chambertin Clos de Beze averages 95 points and at $135 it is 30% of the average $443 price for a similar scoring wine earning a "Great Value" moniker. At $48 the 2003 Albert Morot, Beaune les Teurons averages 92 points and is 31% the average price earning it a "Great Value". At the value end of $13, the 2002 Georges Duboeuf, Fleurie Prestige averages 90 and earns a 14% "Outstanding Value" QPR.
