From luxury lodges to bed and breakfasts, the cities and towns in France offer a break from the norm during Spring Break season. Although the coastal towns still attract thousands of visitors for beach side activities, there is plenty to see and do within the bounds of area neighborhoods and cities. France is home to some enjoyable theme parks, pristine lakes and nature preserves, quaint cottages, and multiple venues for theatres and live music. If you set your sights on Europe for spring break this year, you'll want to book early at these highlights and make your escape to France. Here's where you need to get started:

Les Etangs Fleuris, located in Touquin, Paris is the French version of a miniature Paradise. Just 20 minutes from Disneyland Paris, this quiet haven is filled with luxury homes and modern amenities. The nearby Fontaine Bleu is a legendary castle that can take a few days of exploring, while the Chateau Vaux le Vicomte offers a stunning candlelight fountain display each night. The area is the birthplace of Brie cheese, and the local community shops and cafes can quickly teach you about the area's rich history and culture. For some city flair, Paris is just 40 minutes away. Call 0870 998 22 88 to book one of the 'excellence' homes.

For a resort in the French countryside, book a stay at the fairytale setting in Les Peneyrlas, in Salignac, Dordogne. The area is picture-perfect setting, filled with shrubs, woodland parks, and a mediaeval village theme. Visit Domme, just 12 miles away, for some beautiful views of the river, or head to the Riverside beach for some horseback riding. The resort in the area offers three pools, archery, a fishing pond, and tennis. Although this resort is only open from May to September, the local village offers superb bed and breakfasts and small hotels-ideal for a trip with a romance novel nearby!
