Adobe Illustrator: How to Install and Use New Brushes

You can download different brushes to use in Adobe Illustrator. You can find these brushes at different places. One of the best places to find these brushes is at Adobe.com. These brushes are free to download. Downloading these brushes is fast and easy. In this tutorial I will show you how to download Adobe Illustrator Brushes and I will show you how to use them.

You can find the brushes all over the web. Most of them are free but some are not. Usually the ones that are not free, only cost a few dollars and they are worth paying the money for. These brushes allows you to do things like create vines, flowers, flames, and cars. There are many different brushes to choose from. Go to adobe.com and we will get the brushes from there for this tutorial. You can find the link to the brushes page at the bottom of this tutorial.

You can sort the brushes by Most Popular, Most Recent, or Highest Rated. Click one of the tabs to sort the brushes. When the brushes page loads, you will see thumbnails of the brushes and the names of them. Beside each brush you will see a download button. Click that button to start the download. When the box opens, save the file.

Go to your Adobe Illustrator window. Create a new work space to work on. Grab your pencil tool and draw a line on your work space. It doesn't have to be perfect. We are just drawing a line to use with the new brush that you downloaded. Now go to the top of your window and click Window > Brush Libraries > Other Library. When the box opens, you will need to locate the brush that you just downloaded. Click the brush file that you downloaded and click the open button.

A new box will open in your Illustrator program with the brushes that you just downloaded. Click the line that you created to select it. Now click one of the brushes in the box that you just opened. The line has now become the brush that you applied to it.
