Have you ever owned a pair of $5 boots most people assumed cost you ten times as much? Then consider me company. I bought these boots at Danice's (yes, yes, the Harlem store I always rave about) back in March and never once regretted the purchase. As soon as I saw the boots on display, I searched the shelves for the same style but was disheartened to find they didn't carry my size. Head drooped, I pulled out a pair of size 6s, just to admire them. So shapely, so feminine, so perfect for my wardrobe in every way...curse ye gods! Mind you, Danice's is the kind of store that claims, "What's out on the floor is all they have." In other words, they claim that they don't carry additional sizes in the back (um, if you think that's BS then you gain free membership to my club.) I was fully aware of this, so I didn't bother asking for help. Service is not their strong point but with their jaw-dropping prices, I won't crucify them for that. So instead of snapping my princess fingers at someone, I shrugged my shoulders and wondered if I could fit into the size 6 boots. I didn't bother wondering too long. A matter of seconds later, I had my answer and that answer was glorious: the boot fit. But you already knew that!
