Not Bitter Before, but Now I'm Bitter and Clinging

Who'd a thunk it? I was the least bitter person on this rock. Rather happy-go-lucky, tickled at each new day just glad to be alive. But of late I've had a change of heart. Is there any chance the Messiah knew what he was saying out there in San Francisco when he said we're "bitter and clinging to our guns and religion?" (I paraphrased)

As the insanity level attains new heights I find myself indeed bitter about all this. And despite the haters who will pipe in and offer my recently found bitterness to be a feather in their caps, allow me to let the wind out of their sails. My bitterness has resulted from them - their actions, words and especially their standing by and allowing all the lies and illegalities, so long as said lies and illegal actions benefit them. I've said it before, they are despicable!

If ACORN were a Conservative group of rabble rouser's out registering illegals and felons so they would cast a vote for a Republican, how would the opposition react? Would they defend them and their actions? Would they, as one CP 'round here always loves to remind me "Progressives want as many people to vote as possible, while the 'conservobots' (a new pet name he has for his opposition) want to prevent them from voting because they have to disenfranchise voters to win?" (I paraphrased)

So, would the Progressives argue for ACORN and their antics if the tables were turned? If the NRA had "registered" 1.2 million new registrants and had been called into question huge portions of the registrations, would these Progressives that argue for ACORN think that was A-OK? I'm willing to bet my life that if the NRA registered 1.2 million new voters these same Progressive brain trusts would have declared every registration illegal! Why?

It's getting more ugly by the minute. Barack Obama was an ACORN mouthpiece. Even as I write this former ACORN official, Gregory Hall, says ACORN is up to all manner of illegal action, and the Lefties are defending the actions of ACORN with their hypocrisy. He is alleging ACORN members are scared to come out about the corruption because they are afraid of their leaders.

You are so right about the double-standard all around. Ignore Palin's inexperience but downplay Obama's? Play up Palin's alleged membership in a secessionist group, but Obama refusing to salute the flag and say the pledge is no big deal. Truly, when it comes to the media's bias, justice is blind in the left eye!

C'mon Diaper Rash - McCain got the maverick label because he cast nearly as many votes with the Dems as he did Republicans. Only 1 year ago, when it looked like McCain was dead in the water many Dems here on AC said they liked and respected McCain. He didn't tow the Republican Party line, so they said, and they applauded him for it, yet somehow since he's won the Rep. nomination, these same Dems who liked him before now say he's 4 more years of Bush. Sorry, but they can't have it both ways. I know you Dems THINK you can have it both ways, but ya can't.

Republicans can't tolerate cheating. Oh I almost spit out my coffee when I read that. McCain is evil, lies a LOT and will LOSE

The double standard is alive and well! The anti-Freedom left excuses 0bama protesting our symbols, calling his grandmother a "typical white person" (McCain would be sitting home with no job if he called a black person typical), paying an ACORN front $800,000 in a blatant attempt to steal an election. Pelosi & co. even tried to earmark millions to Obama's ACORN thugs! Where is the outrage? ALL honest & Patriotic Americans should unite & reject such tactic by 0bama.

Jeff, if you guys win in a fair fight, that is as it should be, fair fight being the key term here. Me and mine can deal with losing a fair election. We cannot & will not tolerate cheating, and ACORN has had tens of thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands of their 1.2 million registrations called into question. I do not see how you can correlate fair and lawful registration and voting with anything ACORN is up to. They have come out for Obama publicly, so . . . .

Oh, and you're right Jeff. Conservatives do want fewer people to vote. Fewer felons, fewer illegals, fewer dead people, and fewer Doodad pros. Wasn't it your party that didn't want to count the servicemen's votes in the last election? Why yes, I believe it was. I guess it was a problem because they didn't fit any of the categories above. And... Farrakan endorses Obama from the pulpit as does Wright and Flager... have you saved some of your righteous indignation for them or have you used it all up on conservatives.?

Yeah Jeff..... All of these news shows are just picking on ACORN.. and let's not forget the FBI, I guess they are picking on ACORN too. Go ahead, defend them. If you don't understand what they are doing and are not well informed enough to follow the news (both conservative and liberal) about what has been going and has been documented and proven, then you clearly are past redemption. Let me tell you this, the next time you attack a Christian for what you term "their delusional beliefs" know that we will be laughing at you . Compassionately, of course.

The attacks on ACORN are dubious and of course, excpected. ACORN registered voters....OH NO!!!! The conservative movement has openly admitted wanting less people to vote. ACORN did exactly what it was supposed to...detail and report those who tried to register illegally, and therefore there is a paper trail. That's the law. There are always going to be a few individuals who try something funny, but the numbers aren't large. What is large is the wholesale attempt to remove hundreds of thousands of legitimate voters from rolls. That's election fraud, and thats what the conservatives have done, and are doing. As for the right registering, no one is stopping them, even though they use churches as political offices, clearly against the law. Progressive policies will win in a fair fight, hands down. That's all we ask for.

Things are coming to a boil. The conservatives are thawing out of the deep freeze of acceptance. If the left thought the country was divided over Bush, Obama brings the division to a deeper darker place than ever before and it has nothing to do with race as the left would have the masses believe, it's the far left ideology Obama has at the very least the pattern of associating with. Bravo Jim!

Obama is just a sleaze and that is becomming more and more apparent.
