10 Halloween Songs to Rock Your Party
Halloween parties are never complete without the right "tunage." However, what exactly do you play? The classic Halloween songs? The rock/goth songs? Allow me to suggest some of my favorite songs for this wonderfully frightening holiday.
1. Thriller by Michael Jackson- You can't have a Halloween party without this classic song. One of the best songs, in my personal opinion, MJ ever did. With the creaking door, the ominous footsteps, the howling, the screaming, the creepy narrator and
the lyrics itself, what's not to love? It has every element of "The Halloween Party Song."
2. Monster Mash by Bobby 'Boris' Pickett- Ok. When you think of Halloween, you just have to think of doing the Mash. The Monster Mash. No party is complete without playing this song. It reminds me of my childhood. Every house we knocked on had this song playing at some point or another.
3. This Is Halloween by either the Denizens of Halloween Town or Marilyn Manson- Whether you prefer the original from The Nightmare Before Christmas or the remake by Marilyn Manson, this song is one of my Halloween favorites. I absolutely loved the movie and this is one of my favorite songs.
4. The Ghostbusters Theme Song- Another song from my childhood. This movie was a classic and everyone can sing the chorus to this song. Nothing's scarier than a ghost, right?
5. Bark at the Moon by Ozzy Osbourne- A werewolf song that is sure to keep your party going. Almost anything by Ozzy is good for Halloween. However, this is the one I would recommend.
6. Highway to Hell by AC/DC-
7. The Devil Went Down to Georgia by Charlie Daniels Band- What's Halloween without a song containing the Devil? This is a song about a boy who beats the Devil in fiddling. A song in which the Devil actually loses.
8. The Witch Doctor by David Seville-Ooo eee, ooo ah ah ting tang walla walla, bing bang. Ooo eee, ooo ah ah ting tang walla walla, bing bang. Need I say more? Oh, and be sure not to get the Alvin and the Chipmunks version of this song.
