The third appearance of the Dark Knight in DC Comics is a grand one for sure, the unique approach to have Batman looming over the castle is one of the best artists rendering of the dark knight personification and character. Artist Bob Kane created some of the most memorable DC Comic covers of all time. His approach to install vivid imagery in a surrealistic way has added to his ever growing comic-fame following. This cover introduces a masked society of cult worshipers, and the woman held captive will be used for their ultimate sacrifice. The colors of Jerry Robinson add to the dimension and depth of the cover and also accentuate Bob Kane famous illustrating style. Bob Kane masterfully balanced the Batman character in a way that wonderfully compliments the title headline and color combination. During the 1930's produced some of the finest golden age comic covers in American comic history. The overall cover concept design was a most enthralling way to introduce new villains and mysterious heroes to the comic world and society of comic aficionados throughout the United States. In a world designed in fantasy and adventure this cover represents a time where the forefathers of comic art delved into the impossible to make it entertaining and collectible for so many generations of comic enthusiast.
