Right now, in this very opinionated view , I am neither Democrat nor Republican. I am a middle-aged woman who has never voted. I have never been savvy enough or involved enough to know what a Republican or a Democrat represented. I'm an average citizen, under-educated, having only been to "some college". I am neither rich nor poor. I have the same concerns as others. I am jobless unless you count managing a family, home and budget. If I make a complete fool of myself in this article, I will do so encouraging women to vote. There are many women who have never voted. We are the women who have never spoken. We've had plenty of opinions each election. We are not listened to and our opinions can take two sides in the name of peacekeeping, our opinion and the opinion we are told. We have neither known who the elephant nor the donkey is. The women my age grew up when women didn't vote. Women had the right to vote, but still "lived" with their husbands. We found it easier to cook than to arrive at the voting booth after dark on a Tuesday.
I am challenging these voting women to join me in this election. Vote! Ask yourself what is important and then vote!
As a new voter, I see things that bother me. The government seems to present us with one thing, while they do another thing, or change the real issue to inflame the masses (distractions, if you will). It is politicians flashing two victories in a four-year period and saying: "Look at what I'm doing for you in Washington!" Selling earmarks to fine-print our bills with things that shouldn't have been part of it, or hi-jacking our vote (and stealing by deceptive practices) and calling it an organization. Has anyone wondered why someone spends millions to get elected to get overworked on a job that pays about 200,000 dollars. I choose to vote less government. I definitely choose less government high living and vote controlling by selling earmarks and deceptions.
Yes, I'm a woman. I won't vote for a woman because she is a woman. I could vote for the opposite of what you demand just to show you I'm bullheaded (or a woman). Up to this point, it hasn't made a difference to me either way. This election is different.
