Do Employees Really Care About Bosses Day?

Bosses day was created as a way for employees to thank their bosses for being so great. Almost like secretaries day and the other office day's. Many just see it as a day to have goodies in the office. The question is how many really care about thanking their bosses? Many employees will be quick to tell you that their boss does not deserve anything any bosses day. Of course there are plenty of bosses who have probably earned it.

Bosses day is October 16^th, and some may get their boss a simple gift or card just to show that they appreciate them. Bosses day is actually a national event, although some offices don't even acknowledge it. There are even special mugs and plaques that are made specifically for bosses day. It could be just another day created by companies who want to make more money off of the merchandise. The fact is that if you truly appreciate your boss why would you wait for one particular day to show your appreciation. If you talk to many bosses you will hear that all they really want from their employees is a hard days work. Some bosses see these little gifts as a complete waste of time. If you are an employee why not put yourself in the bosses shoes. How would you feel about Bosses day? Is it just an excuse to not work for a few hours out of the day?

If you work for yourself than you can reward the boss by taking the day off. If however you are like billions of other people you probably don't want to be bothered honoring your boss. In some offices the boss wont even allow anything special to be done. The bottom line is that it really depends on the person and the office that they work in.
