celebrate Halloween , regardless of being Buddhist, as Thais love nothing more than having fun and Halloween is certainly fun. There's something for everyone on Halloween in Bangkok, no matter if you're a guy, a girl, single, married or a parent. Here are some of the best things to do on Halloween in Bangkok no matter who you are or what you like to do.

Halloween in Bangkok for Parents and Kids - If your child goes to an international school or a bilingual school in Bangkok, it's likely the school will be having Halloween festivities. The school I used to work at had a Halloween concert, a Halloween costume party, and the kids spent the week before Halloween making Halloween crafts.

At the malls in Bangkok, there are Halloween costume competitions for the kids, and you'll see kids in almost every mall, both Western and Thai kids, running around in the cutest costumes. You can also buy Halloween costumes at most of the big department stores - Emporium, Siam Paragon, and Central World malls have the best selection - as well as in Chinatown (Yaworat), which has an awesome selection of Halloween masks and costumes. Your kids can also trick or treat around by the American Embassy in Bangkok.

First Steps International School on Sukhumvit, Soi 43, will also be holding a big Halloween party for the kids this year. There will be trick or treating, games, a fancy dress competition, a book drive, and more. Entrance fee is 150 baht (about $4.50) for members, and 250 baht ($7.40) for non-members.

Smorg, I have that dessert at least once a week here. They sell it at the market next to my office for only 10 baht (about 33 cents). It's delicious! :-)

Wow. Ya' gotta love the Thais' love for fun! :o) And now you've somehow reminded me of a good Thai desert I had near a temple there once... I think it was boiled chunks of pumpkin in sweetened coconut milk. I didn't like pumpkins before, but loved that thing! :o)

This is the kind of info that takes experience and living in a particular place to truly understand, making it VERY helpful for those who might be new to Thailand or visiting during the Halloween season.
