HP Photosmart R607 Digital Camera

What better product to go with your PC than a new HP digital camera? Our recent review unit was the HP Photosmart R607, a pocket-size, 4.1 mega pixel model with 3X optical zoom/7X digital zoom. [It has just been upgraded to the BMW.WilliamsF1 Team Special Edition.]

If you have a digital camera two or three years old, it's time to bite the bullet and get a new one. The advances in digital camera technology are truly astounding, and HP leads the pack.

Get closer to the BMW.WilliamsF1 racing team with this metallic blue, special edition of HP's Photosmart R607 camera. It arrives in a cool collector's tin, along with a matching case and wrist strap. You also get an exclusive 2004 team CD with race photos, video, screen savers and wallpapers.

Do you hate the hassle of uploading photos from your camera to your PC or Mac? It's a no-brainer with the R607. You just install the included image software to do the trick. But even without software, you can upload images by simply plugging in the included USB cable. That's smart technology!

Shooting modes include auto (default), action, aperture priority, beach, landscape, panorama, portrait, snow and sunset. Manual controls allow settings for AE metering, color, EV compensation, image quality, ISO speed, saturation, sharpness and white balance.

The camera shoots video with sound, rotates images for viewing, and corrects red-eye in the camera even after shooting a photo. We don't have enough space to reveal all the features of the R607. But this is a camera that would have cost thousands a few years back.

Bundled software includes HP Image Zone software for Microsoft Windows and Macintosh, HP Memories Disc Creator, American Greetings Create & Print Greeting Cards and ArcSoft Panorama Maker 3.5.
