Review of Max's, an Israeli Restaurant in Wheaton, Maryland

We had an opportunity recently to visit Max's rrestaurant which serves authentic Israeli food items. Located at 2319 University Blvd. at West Wheaton, Maryland in the suburbs of Washington DC, the phone number is 301- 949-6297. We visited this restaurant
with our entire family last weekend. Our experience at this restaurant was really enjoyable. I am going to give a brief review of the restaurant in this article.

We reached the restaurant at around 1 pm in the afternoon. There were many people at that time in the restaurant enjoying their lunch. We referred the menu items and were amazed to find variety of all the food items, both in veg and non veg categories. As most of us were strict vegetarians, we selected full plate of Falafel, which was available at the rate of $5.95. There is only a difference of $1 between the full and half plates of falafel. Hence, we all went for the whole order of Falafel. It was made based on our own choice of additives and to the desired taste. All the salad items were served fresh along with Falafel Gotas and all types of chutneys to our taste. The proportion also was quiet large and we got fully satisfied with one whole order of Falafel. The other items like burgers in varieties like Chili Burger, Turkey Burger, and the stick burgers were also available. The light menu of salads consisting of Tuna Salad Sandwich, Veggie Burger, Home made soups, and Matzo Ball Soup was also served at the rates of around $6 per plate. The dinner special items like Rotisserie Chicken, Rib Steaks, Stuffed Cabbage, and tasty Mediterranean Kabobs are also served at the rates of around $ 14 per plate. The special kid's menus consisting of Hamburgers, Hot Dog, and Chicken Nuggets were also available at around $ 4. Lots of Chicken Varieties are also served in various proportions like snack box, Dinner box, Jumbo box, special box, and a full bucket. The single pieces of fried chicken were also available in case you want less proportion at around $4.

It's about time someone posted a comment about how stingy they are at Max's. They've elevated stinginess to an art form and act as if they think the customer likes it. Shame on them!

Falaffel and schwarma are both excellent but having your food prepared here is almost embarrassing. They brag about their 20 salad -salad bar but they may as well serve you with a TWEEZER. They are absolutely cheesy cheap when placing the tiniest amount of your chosen salads on your sandwhich.......it's salad, not steak! How long can this stuff stay fresh anyway? And by the way, because this stuff is kosher it's actually expensive for what you get because they're afraid to put more than a little schwarma in your sandwhich. Be warned that a refill for a soda is eighty cents!! Serving staff is less than charming and the place could be cleaner. At some point no matter how good the food is being treated like your the enemy and that you're being SQUEEZED for every last penny is a bad business model. This place has a captured audience among the kosher ..........but most of the world isn't and a lot of that world likes this kind of food.........so it's tooo bad because Max's coul
