The writer's mind

Is a perennial vagabond

Endlessly roving around

Seeking ways to understand

Every little bit of everything

To have the power to explain

In an attractive tapestry

Of carefully woven words

All that needs to be learned

And anything worthy of thought

The writer's mind

Doesn't confine itself

To the matters of the here and now

But always goes on a quest

For what lies beyond tomorrow

And even behind yesterday

It transcends through

The verity of time and space

To search for the greatest experience

To perceive and convey the deepest thoughts

And to feel and express the ultimate emotions
