You know what the worst part about looking for work online is? Affiliate programs. Everybody talks up the advantages of anything if they stand to make a buck off. Between the affiliate programs and the pyramid schemes it is almost impossible to find anything to make money online with out ending up with twenty thousand spams in your email. I researched a few plans today where there are so many affiliates promoting the plans, you can't get to the real truth. A pay-it-forward-4-profit plan has been duplicated at least three times. All the affiliates still singing the praises.

Money just seems to make people stupid. Not the people that have money, the people that need money. A pyramid scheme is ok if you are in at the start, but when did it start? The Pyramids are getting cleverer as well. You would normally expect the promise of big money on a relatively small investment to send up big red flags. People still jump in to hit the big mother lode. Now some of the schemes are promising pretty good money with no investment. With the huge number of potential victims, I mean investors available with the Internet it is hard to discern if you should jump in or not.

Some pyramids take on less stigmatic names, like multi-level marketing. That sounds so much better that ponzi or pyramid. Sounds totally legitimate. Some are, but with the Internet you never know. Auto surfing is one very questionable scheme. The securities exchange commission (SEC) has nailed at least one auto surf site already. More are flourishing as I write this. How many are legit, how many aren't? Time will tell. But the premise of auto surfing is just plain fraud. Building irrelevant hits on websites to generate ad sense revenue. And of course they throw in referral bucks to keep everyone talking good about them. Google is a big target with deep pockets. They aren't stupid though. Google is already moving towards affiliate programs to reduce waste. Auto surfing and GDI, (Global Domains International) type programs are going to force them to change. Pay for performance is where it is going to be in the future.
