Every year for the past several decades, tens of thousands of party goers have headed to Florida's sunny beaches looking for the perfect Spring Break party destination. And one of the most popular beaches among this young crowd is the stretch of Florida panhandle known as Panama City Beach. Located on the Gulf of Mexico, Panama City Beach solicits and gets a huge college-aged crowd seeking to escape the rigors of undergraduate and graduate studies at colleges and universities across the country.

As is typical of most beach areas in the Sunshine State, Panama City Beach is known for its beautiful white sands and its fantastic weather, which is typically sunny and warm for most of the year. Parties are nonstop during the Spring Break season, but even the most ardent Spring Break vacationers need a place to sleep, or at least crash for a little while after a hard night of partying. Panama City Beach has over 20,000 hotel rooms in more than 150 locations, including economy motels, world-class resorts and rental condominiums. Some are located on the beach and many offer swimming pools, golf packages and tennis facilities.

For your culinary delight, Panama City Beach offers over 100 different restaurants serving everything from delicious Gulf seafood to your favorite drive-thru burgers and fries. One of the better waterfront dining establishments is the Bayview Restaurant, a casual eatery located within the Marriott Bay Point Resort Village that offers water view tables and outdoor lounging on the veranda.

Of course, most Spring Breakers don't come to Panama City Beach to just eat and sleep. They come to tan on the beach and party in the clubs. With 27 miles of sandy beach, you're sure to find the spot that's perfect for you. There are plenty of beach concerts, fashion shows, and traditional beach activities like volleyball, jet skiing, and parasailing. For those looking for something a little bit different, Panama City Beach offers live greyhound races at the Ebro Greyhound Park, airboat swamp tours, dolphin encounters, trail rides, cruises to Shell Island and much more.
