Need more football to fill your after-holiday hopes? Tune in to ABC, CBS, FOX, or ESPN to get all the pigskin you'll need. NBC, meanwhile, will air its regular soap operas and daytime shows for those who want to return to normalcy now that the holiday season is officially over.

If you've resolved to lose weight in '07, you'll definitely want to check out Bravo's Biggest Loser marathon, an all-day event that takes you inside the horrors and hardships of weight loss. A & E offers serious scripted drama with a CSI marathon, while CMT pays homage (all day long) to the Dukes of Hazzard with a slew of good-old Dukes programming.

Comedy Central will take the easy way out with all-day movies (hosted by comedian Cedric the Entertainer), and CourtTV will crime-fight with Beach Patrol all afternoon. The Disney Channel will stand by one of their biggest shows, Hannah Montana, in an all-day affair that will have younger generations unable to look away.

More sophisticated programming is available on SciFi network, which will continue to run an incredibly long Twilight Zone marathon. TLC serves warm reality with Moving Up and Flip That House for the better part of New Year's Day, while the Travel channel shows their own real version of the Tournament of Roses Parade.

Light-hearted fun is offered with Food Network's Throwdown With Bobby Flay and USA's Monk marathons. The Hallmark channel, known for jerking tears, will also throw fun at viewers by showing M*A*S*H throughout the holiday.

The History Channel will make people hungry with the American Eats day of programming, while TNT banks on Law & Order and Charmed to draw in after-Eve viewers. A Dirty Jobs marathon is on the bill for Discovery, a channel that definitely won't be trying anything new on this first day of 2007. How many Dirty Jobs marathons can this channel actually run?
