Are you looking for a tattoo studio in St. Louis, but don't know where to go to get the job done? Here's a list of the top five tattoo studios in St. Louis created by me. How do I know what the top five tattoo studios in St. Louis are? I'm not a tattoo critic or anything, but I do have 15 tattoos! You can either trust me, or trust the phone book- it's up to you which one is the better choice!

1. Iron Age Tattoo
The first thing you'll notice when you walk in Iron Age Tattoo is the design of the studio itself. Although this isn't usually an important factor in deciding where to get a tattoo, it is important that the tattoo studio be clean. Iron Age has a very clean look; and it even smells clean! If you go to Iron Age after 5 PM or anytime on Friday or Saturday you'll probably notice a good amount of people waiting to get tattooed. Try not to be intimidated, even if there are a lot of people waiting. Usually the staff will ask you what you want to have done and then give you a time frame. If you are looking at a long wait you have the option of giving them your cell phone number, and they'll call you when it's your turn. If you have no idea what you want Iron Age has a large collection of tattoo "flash." They also have artists portfolios available in case you want a specific artist. You always have the option of having the artist draw something up for you as well, but if you want this done don't go during busy times. I had most of my tattoos done at Iron Age- and every artist I've had there does a great job! Iron Age is a little expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for! I've also noticed that the artists have a little bit of an attitude sometimes, but I really don't mind as they do great work! Iron Age Tattoo is located in the University City Loop at 6309 Delmar. They are open Monday through Saturday from Noon to 10 PM and on Sunday from Noon to 8 PM. If you don't want to wait long or need time to talk to your artist about what tattoo you have in mind I recommend going on a weekday close to opening time.

by far the best shop in the city!

I looked around at tattoo shops trying to decide where I wanted to get my tat. Every place I went to it seemed like no one was friendly. When I went to Iron Age everyone was friendly, plus I LOVE my new tattoo. I will for sure get my next tattoo at Iron Age again.

i guess i dont understand how you rated these places. i understand that iron age did most of your tattoos, and there is alot to say for loyalty, but it seems like you have more bad to say about the place than all the others (including that the artists there have a little bit of an attitude). would that not then mean that this shop should be placed last and not first?
