This is the treasure hunt I did at a Care Bears party for my daughter's fourth Birthday. The first thing I did was gather all her stuffed Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins and decide who was going to play what part. I wrote a dialogue and story line and then fashioned the clues from there. I chose Funshine as the one kidnapped by Professor Coldheart because Funshine was her favorite. I placed the Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins around the house to the place where the clue led to that particular Care Bear. The second to the last clue was about Professor Coldheart's Footprints leading to the treasure, so I took a shoe and traced around it onto construction paper. I put a path of footprints to the place where the treasure was.

Here are the clues:

1. We are looking for Funshine Bear. She has hidden a treasure for us. Can you help us find it. I think I saw her at the treehouse. Maybe it's there. (Go to treehouse)

2. Oh no, Professor Coldheart has Bearnapped Funshine and taken the treasure. We need to find his hide out. I think it's in a place that is cold and dark. There's a lot of boxes there too. Do you know where it is? (Go to a Basement or attic)

3. Professor Coldheart has been here all right, but now he's gone. There's Brightheart Raccoon at the top of the stairs. I wonder if he's seen Professor Coldheart. Let's go see. (Go to Top of stairs leading to basement)

4. "I did see professor Coldheart and he had Funshine Bear. He went into the house. Cheer Bear is in the house, why don't you ask her if she's seen him?" (Go Back in the house, look for Cheer Bear)

5. "I tried to catch Professor Coldheart but he got away. Good Luck Bear followed him to the bedroom. I wonder if he's still there?" (Go to the bedroom, look for Good Luck Bear)

6. "I followed him to this room and then I saw him go into the kitchen. I think he may have stolen some cheese from the refrigerator. Why don't you have a look?" (Go to the refrigerator)

7. Well he's not here but he may be in your daddy's office with Tenderheart. Let's look for him there. (Go to office or near a computer, Look for Tenderheart)
