I presume the year 2006 has not been bad for many of us. Though politically the year was a major campaign year, there has been a lot of improvement on the living standards of the citizens despite the few problems we have encountered here and there.

We must feel sorry for those who have undergone trauma of any kind across the globe but for those who are still healthy and kicking, I think it is time again that resolutions were made.

Many people got disappointed because they could not keep to the resolutions they made. Some of the resolutions that involved quitting addiction and related lifestyles could have been so much hard to quit. Those who wanted to achieve a given level of investment could have been disappointed too due to unforeseen market and personal forces.

But all in all, there are those who loved the achievements of the New Year's resolution and I must confess that I was able to achieve a very important resolution this year. My resolution for the year 2006 was to achieve an A+ certification in computer hardware troubleshooting and maintenance and as I write this, I can't help but put a smile in my face. Another important resolution was to get me a loving girlfriend and I am so happy there is someone special in my life.

And what is the secret of maintaining a resolution? Well the first thing is to understand what kind of resolution you are making and what measures are available for the up keep of such resolutions. There are many people who go to the extent of making numerous resolutions without knowing the exact steps they are needed to take in order to have a working resolution.

Because I cannot explain the steps required for every type of resolution that are made by the over seven billion inhabitants of the globe, let me take a case example of debt free life resolution.
Debts are the major set backs to financial development and investment opportunities. If anyone has a resolution to have a debt free life then that is the best thing one can do for himself. But what does one need to do in order to maintain a debt free life the whole year?
