Smackdown Vs. Raw 2007

I traded in Guitar Hero 2 for Smackdown Vs. Raw 2007. One plus with that trade is my feet will not swell from standing up for hours and rocking out.

As a fan of wrestling games I will always buy the new one out. I have come to realize that they will never make the perfect wrestling game. If they did the companies would not make money off it's successor.

Is Smackdown Vs. Raw 2007 an improvement over 06? A little bit yeah.

General Manager mode is expanded. You now have the ability to turn off injuries and you can also have unlimited money. You now have a myriad of storylines to feud your superstars in. One downside is you cannot use some of the legends(Tazz, Lawler, and Shane McMahon) in GM mode. GM Mode continues forever, at the end of one year Vnce McMahon declares a GM of the year. If you lose he doesn't fire you, you continue on.

Create a Wrestler took away from CAW mode, but to make up for that more was added to Create An Entrance. Now you can decide when to use the fireworks. You are also able to change the camera angle. All the create modes are fine, except for create a title again. They have added spinner belts, but tat ugly centerpiece still makes the title look atrocious.

Playing this game you will experience it's many glitches. The game play makes up for that with it's new innovative grappling system. Many of the glitches just make me giggle instead of throwing my controller across the room. This go around you use the analog sticks to move and grapple. I thought I would hate this system, but I picked it up quickly. You can always change the settings and use the old format. The new grappling system is one thing I enjoy about the game. Using R3 you have some other moves, for instance if you have a chokeslam as R3 you can pick up your opponent, walk them around the ring, then slam them out of it. In this game you can chokeslam people off the Hell in a Cell and through a table.
