chain like Dominos or Pizza Hut. But for delicious authentic Italian-style pizza you may want to try some of the following:

Villa De Carlo restaurant is located at 5140 6th Ave. Located just north of the downtown area, Villa De Carlo offers an outdoor seating area in nice weather and charming décor. They decorate extensively for every season and holiday. The low lighting accented by candles on the table and strings of white holiday lights on the ceiling offer an intimate experience. A main attraction for children and the young at heart is the paper tablecloths and jar of crayons offered at each table. You can color on the table as you wait for you food, which may take a while if you visit on the weekend. They offer a complete Italian menu as well as pizza for dine-in or carry out. They only offer a thin crust pizza, so if you are looking for a gooey deep-dish pizza, the crispy crust will disappoint you. Their pizza is considered some of the best in Kenosha but you may also want to try their spinach salad with the warm dressing or the cheese ravioli. There is a small bar but no smoking anywhere inside the restaurant. Major complaints are long wait for seating and long wait for dine-in pizza. Your best bet is to visit on a weekday or to call ahead.

Luigi's Pizza Kitchen & Restaurant located at 7531 39th Avenue, has been a town favorite for over 30 years. They offer dine-in, carry out and delivery service. While there have been some complaints about the quality of the service when calling in and picking up orders, the pizza is so good and affordable that the service does not keep many folks away. They offer a full Italian menu and fried chicken and a delicious Friday fish fry. They are closed on Mondays and are open Tuesday through Sunday from 4:30 – Midnight. Luigi’s Pizza only comes in a thin crust, for a real treat order extra cheese.

villa de carlo is not the same restarant i grew to love.the food is aweful.i had the ribs that were at least cooked three days earlier and they tried to hide the fact by putting a whole bottle of rib sauce on them and my wifes meal was bland and this is a must -please go to the booths and see if they can possible get one more piece of duck tape on their furniture.what sucks is they show photos from 1960 from the menu like they take great pride in their food and what has happened they have sucked every nickel out of the place since 1995 with we dont care if our food is good anymore(sell the place) so new owners will bring the quality back and there bad food is way over priced-for great food try the village on sheridan rd in kenosha or ray radigans-were scared to order pizza from this company now and this place needs a couple adults-too many clueless kids and my husband still wants to know how this place can peddle bad food and not care.

Born and Raised in Kenosha and being raised in the Italian life style. I guess you could say im a pretty good Source when it comes to finding Good italian food in kenosha. The best Pizza that you will find here in my opinion is Ruffolo's. Maybe its just becuase i was raised on it my whole life...but im telling you right now..nothing in my mind wil EVER beat a Deep Dish pizza with some Mojos on the side=] The seasoning that they use on the mojos at Ruffolos will surpass anyones taste buds if they've tried luigis mojos. Not that Luigis isnt good, just trust me on this. Theres a special seansoning that ruffolos put on their mojos that will make you keep coming back for more!

Gee nonya- ever thought about looking it up or are you that lazy? I also agree that Luigi's now sucks, but is still better then the swill at infusinos. But in fefense of the author, the article was written in 2005 before Luigi's started to go down hill

Ok, guys, I'm from Kenosha. I can't believe that the places above are listed as the top. I guess I can, but the fact that the article starts off saying you can either "play it safe" and try Pizza Hut or Dominoes before it lists some of the local places horrifies me. If you really want good pizza, go to Infusino's. Best pizza in town, bar none. They have four crusts, my favorite being the old world with the corn meal bottom. It's not thin and not thick, got some consistency to it. The best pizza they have to offer is the house pizza, which comes with sauce, tomatoes, garlic, ham, pepperoni, and cheese. It is TO DIE FOR. Seriously. Try it. You can try it on any of their crusts and you'll love it. Any other pizza you might want to order there will also delight you. I'm afraid the writer of this article was right about DeRango's. Luigi's recently changed from first generation to the next, and they have gone WAY down hill. DeCarlo's isn't what it used to be either...hasn't be

The Villa De Carlo in Kenosha was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had the mispleasure to suffer. Upon arrival, even though there was other seating available we were seated at the entrance to the kitchen where we were treated to the constant banging of the swinging door. We were seated and after 10 minutes time we were finally offered water which arrived 5 minutes later, They finally took our orders after being in our seats for 20 minutes and then after 25-30 minutes our food arrived. The Gnuchies were horrible and bland, the mostoccoli cold, clinging, and the spaghetti seemed as if it had been left out to chill on the kitchen counter. Our service was staggered one party getting their meal, another party waiting for 5-10 minutes for his meal to arrive. My wifes pizza never made it out of the preparation kitchen and was picked up by her upon departure. Upon departure, I glanced into the pizza prep area where I was treated to the sight of 6 teenagers hurriedly preparing pizz
