A Review of the Sony Bravia Home Theater System Model DAV-HDX576WF

A 5.1 Home Theater System

When it comes to home theater systems, one name in particular stands out among the rest. That name is Sony. This established home entertainment giant has developed an unparalleled following among consumers with its reliable products and world class customer service. Recently I had the
opportunity to get my hands on one of Sony's reasonably priced home theater systems the Bravia DAV-HDX576WF. I'm going to let you know how well it performed for me so you can decide for yourself if it is the type of product worth your hard earned money.

Product Overview:

The wonderful advancements in speaker design means that home theater systems are no longer composed of gigantic black speakers taking up the majority of your living room real estate. Thankfully Sony has taken full advantage of this technology with their Bravia DAV-HDX576WF theater system. The sleek design should look great in almost any living room. It is low profile enough that it isn't going to become the focus of the room. The black speakers will however stand out against stark walls so this is something you need to be aware of.

The sound quality is consistent with both audio CD's as well as surround sound produced from DVD's. Listening to music on this system is fulfilling at reasonable volumes, and will support MP3 playback through the integrated USB port which will conserve your CD's. The 5.1 system produces twangy high end notes but impressive full deep notes despite the small size of the speakers and subwoofer. While you're not going to belive you're actually in the movie it will certainly be a significant improvement over the standard stereo produced by most TV's.

The vast majority of consumers will find this theater system will go above and beyond their expectations. It will only be the most discerning audiophile who will find issue with this Sony Bravia DAV-HDX576WF theater system. The biggest negative people will find is that the media player is a DVD player and does not support the newer bluray format, although for the price it shouldn't be expected.
